CARLO ROSSI AND THE ORGANIC JAM

DJ Set | Jazz | Fusion | Electronica

CARLO ROSSI AND THE ORGANIC JAM is a passion project, where an openess to all genres gives birth to new ones, where the art of improvising gives endless possibilities to adventures into sound. By seamlessly fusing together multiple instruments with unique edits and loops of soundtracks, bossa, electro swing, electronica, pop, deep house, classical, minimal, world, broken beats, nu disco & indie dance blues and tango.. you name it - it'll probably appear somewhere in their sets - they gradually build the tempo and intensity as they lift crowds from background to dance floor while introducing music of the past, present & future, reinvented & remixed.

THE ORGANIC JAM is headed by DJ/producer/music director Carlo Rossi. Graduating from Central St Martins School Of Art (BA), Carlo went on to win two consecutive golds and one silver award in Fine Art at the Royal Academy of Art's 'Charles Wheeler Award'. The winter saw Carlo move to Paris where he began making non-narrative, soundtrack lead, experimental surf films for Surfneige and Planchemag - France's premier surf magazines - he also became their in-house illustrator.

The following summer his passion for the ocean lead Carlo to relocate to Los Angeles where he began showing his work in exhibitions - from Santa Monica's Bergamot Station to downtown's LA Artcore Center where he immersed himself more and more into the possibilities of sound and film. This inspired him to organize and perform in events combining his love of installation & video art with live electronic music under the guise GTMT and Sixth Sense (yes folks, the name came way before the film). The success of these events received rave reviews by LA's newspapers and magazines, being quoted many times over as the beginning stepping stone of LA's flourishing experiential crossover scene.

As Carlo's events grew in scale and exposure, he set his sights to organize and produce the first electronic music & contemporary Art festival ever held in Morocco. Aptly titled Morocco2001, the festival was held on an island in the middle of the desert near Quarzazate - the film center of Morocco. The festival brought together some of the biggest international electronic acts and contemporary video and land artists from 52 countries around the world. Morocco2001 had an attendance of over 10,000 over 4 days.
