Edith WeUtonga burst onto the music scene in 2000 and has since released several albums, including "Utonga," "Kwacha," and "Madalisto." Based in the UK, she holds degrees in Music Development and Business, Musicology, and Technology. WeUtonga, whose real name is Edith Katiji, made history as the first black woman vice-president of FIM, a leading international organisation championing musicians' rights. Her appointment, announced at the 22nd FIM Congress, highlights her significant role in shaping global music industry standards.
